MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y., Mar. 9, 2026 — The Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (CNR) has secured a 2026 Arts Ignite grant to expand free specialized arts programming for its residents and the local community.
The Arts Ignite Grant is made possible with funds from the Aid to Localities Program through the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts and the New York State Senate. With funding secured, this will mark the CNR Resident Craft Club’s fifteenth year providing free craft activities and guest presenters at the facility.
“Creative and enriching activities like these help our residents stay motivated and independent,” said Pam Hill, Resident Craft Club coordinator. “These visual arts sessions do more than improve hand-eye coordination - they help residents create new cherished memories to share with their loved ones.”
The CNR is a 266-bed facility providing residents with 24-hour skilled nursing and rehabilitative care. The 2026 Resident Craft Club program includes a diverse schedule of events held across the facility’s neighborhoods, including the Garden of Life Adult Day Services. All craft club events are free and open to the public.
