Home Posted on February 11, 2025

GENESEO, N.Y., Feb. 11, 2025 - The Livingston County Youth Bureau has awarded more than $38,000 in funding to local youth sports organizations across the County.

The County backing supports the availability of sports activities for youths under age 18. Awarded organizations can use the financial assistance to add coaching staff, purchase equipment or uniforms, and pay for facility costs, among other programming-related expenses. The County identified the awarded local youth sports organizations through a competitive selection process.

“We are proud to have been able to stretch these funds to support so many different programs in our communities,” said Workforce Development Director Ryan Snyder. “Sports and physical activity are so important for young people’s confidence, social skills, mental health, and much more. It’s great to be able to play a part in bringing these programs to more of our young county residents.”
