GENESEO, N.Y., Oct. 10, 2024 — The Livingston County Youth Bureau is currently seeking requests for proposals from all not-for-profit and community-based organizations for the Youth Sports and Education Opportunity Funding program. The funding aims to increase access to quality sports programs for Livingston County youth. The deadline to submit a proposal is Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at 4 p.m.
Applicants are required to provide sports or physical fitness activities for Livingston County youths ages 6 through 17. Programs seeking funding should operate from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. Eligible items for funding include:
- Coaches/instructors/direct service staff/mentors
- Equipment or uniforms
- Educational programming costs
- Facility/field space costs
All funded programs must aim to foster the following:
- Educational connection and achievement
- Physical health and well-being
- Mental health and well-being
- Employment
- Community cohesion
