GENESEO, N.Y., Sept. 26, 2025 — Livingston County is joining with organizations around the country today in celebrating Human Resources Professionals Day, honoring the outstanding work of the County’s HR staff.
HR Professionals Day is an annual observance dedicated to recognizing the important contributions of human resources professionals to their organizations and employees. The HR professionals of Livingston County work tirelessly to support 40 different County departments and more than 1,300 County employees.
The County HR team also works with local towns, villages, school districts, and Genesee Valley BOCES to recruit, retain, and support staff. The office expertly manages employee benefits, retirement programs, County policies, employee onboarding, and much more, said Acting County Administrator Shannon Hillier.
“Our incredible HR professionals ensure that County employees are supported, prepared, and best able to provide essential services for our community,” she said. “We value their work and thank them for their dedication. The HR team’s behind-the-scenes efforts ensure that all our employees can perform at their best, which in turn benefits our residents. Their work is essential in helping us build a culture of professionalism and service excellence across our organization.”
The day is also an opportunity to celebrate the role of HR professionals in talent management, fostering positive work environments, and ensuring the well-being and professional development of the County workforce.
