GENESEO, N.Y., May 27, 2025 — The Conesus Lake Watershed Council will hold the second public meeting for the Conesus Lake Watershed Management Plan Update on Thursday, June 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Conesus Lake Sportsmen’s Club, 5883 Stone Hill Road, Lakeville, N.Y. 14480. The public meeting will provide an overview of the 2025 Draft Plan Update and an opportunity for review and comment.  

The Conesus Lake Watershed Council is updating the Conesus Lake Watershed Management Plan, with support from the Livingston County Planning Department, Conesus Lake watershed partners, and the community. Across the Finger Lakes, communities are experiencing shifts in climate, demographics, farming practices, development patterns, and more. The Conesus Lake watershed region of Livingston County is experiencing those changes, as well. The Watershed Management Plan update will address those challenges and work to enhance the hydrologic resilience of Conesus Lake.

The original Conesus Lake Watershed Management Plan was adopted in 2003 and has served as a template for community leaders, resource management professionals, and the public to identify actions designed to protect local waterways and surrounding lands.
