GENESEO, N.Y., March 13, 2025 - The Livingston County Land Bank Corporation (LCLBC) has been awarded $2 million in Land Bank Initiative grant funding from New York State Homes and Community Renewal. This funding will assist LCLBC in carrying out its mission of reducing neighborhood blight and fighting property decay in order to return local properties to productive use. 

The Land Bank will use the funding for acquisition, demolition, rehabilitation, and redevelopment of properties across the County. 

“The award of $2 million will help take the Land Bank’s capabilities to the next level” said Livingston County Land Bank Board Chair Dan Pangrazio. “The Land Bank has an opportunity to make an impact across the County, improving infrastructure and quality of life for people who call Livingston County home.” 

County officials say this significant investment in Livingston County will have a long-lasting effect throughout the region.

“This award will benefit families for years to come” said LCLBC Executive Director Megan Crowe. “The grant funding to develop and rehabilitate homes will fill a need to improve housing stock in the County, transforming neighborhoods for current and future residents.”

The Land Bank plans to continue its collaboration with local partners to facilitate the rehabilitation and development of properties it owns and acquires. Officials there encourage residents to reach out to the Land Bank if they have property they would like to sell.
