Soil and Water District Now Accepting Orders for Tree and Shrub Seedling Program

GENESEO, N.Y., Jan. 10, 2025 — The Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is now accepting orders for its Conservation Tree and Shrub Seedling Program.

 

Order forms, which are due no later than March 14, 2025, are available online and must be submitted to:

Seedling orders will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Planting instructions and best practices are available upon request.

 

Those who submit an order form will be able to pick up their selections at the County Highway Department at 4389 Gypsy Lane in Groveland from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, and again from 8 a.m. through 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

 

The Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District is a local government subdivision under New York State law. The SWCD was established in 1942 to protect and promote natural resources for water quality throughout Livingston County. Participation in the seedling sale supports the SWCD’s conservation efforts.
