GENESEO, N.Y., June 11, 2024 — Local community groups and organizations seeking to better understand the role of County government and the work done there by dedicated public servants have a resource available in the Livingston County Speakers Bureau.
The Speakers Bureau offers unique presentations from a diverse range of County officials with expertise on various County programs, initiatives, and topics of interest. From planning to public information, highway to health, and social services to the County’s history, the Speakers Bureau has a wealth of knowledgeable subject matter experts standing by to share their professional insights.
“Frankly, there are few people who know these topics more thoroughly than the public servants of Livingston County who perform this work every single day for our residents,” said County Administrator Ian M. Coyle. “This program underscores our commitment to engaging our residents and keeping the community informed and involved in the decision-making processes that shape our County.”
Through this initiative, Livingston County aims to strengthen its connections with the community by providing a platform for residents to learn about County operations, services, and initiatives directly from experts in each topic. The Speakers Bureau serves as a valuable resource for organizations seeking informative and engaging presentations tailored to their specific interests and needs.
The Speakers Bureau features a diverse roster of County officials and specialized professionals ready to present on a wide range of topics, including:
- County government operations and services
- Public safety and emergency management
- Economic development and tourism
- Resources for seniors
- Health and human services
- And many more
The Speakers Bureau is an opportunity for schools, community groups, senior clubs, church meetings, and others to gather information about a particular subject that can be used to help develop their own project or to educate the public about current County programming and initiatives.
Please note, all requests should be made at least three weeks in advance. Organizations interested in hosting a speaker can submit a request through the County's website, specifying their preferred topic, date, and location. The County will make every effort to accommodate each request, however, it cannot guarantee a speaker’s availability.
