MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y., Dec. 9, 2025 — Meghan Kiefer of Livingston County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was recently honored with the New York State EMS Council’s Advanced Life Support Provider of the Year Award at the New York State Vital Signs EMS Conference 2025 in Syracuse. Kiefer has worked with Livingston County EMS since 2017, first as an emergency medical technician, and currently as a paramedic with the agency.
Dr. Aaron Farney, Livingston County EMS medical director, stated, “Meghan is the epitome of an EMS professional, consistently embodying the qualities of a caregiver that the public truly deserves. She demonstrates an unwavering commitment to learning and growth and this is reflected in her dally work ethic and clinical care.”
Livingston County EMS Director Karen Dewar added, “She is truly deserving. Meghan exemplifies excellence in patient care, continuous professional development, and selfless service. She is a valuable member of our team."
Earlier this year, Kiefer also received the 2024 Advanced Life Support Provider of the Year Award from the Monroe-Livingston Regional EMS (MLREMS) Council. The annual MLREMS awards showcase the special talents of local EMS providers and their contributions to the improvement of prehospital care.
