Continuum of Mental Health Care
Governor Kathy Hochul has announced a $1 billion, multi-year investment to strengthen the state's continuum of mental health care and drastically reduce the number of New Yorkers with unmet mental health needs. The plan will increase inpatient psychiatric treatment capacity, expand outpatient services, boost insurance coverage, and develop thousands of new specialized housing units to serve individuals with mental illness. For more information, see the announcement from the New York State Office of Mental Health.
